In case you hadn't noticed, a cocktail renaissance has been sweeping the country in the past couple of years.
A few years ago, it was marked mostly by the surge in so-called "Martini" bars, where mixed drinks, mostly of the sweet and fruity variety, took precedence over the beer and the shot. Here in Syracuse, the Martini bar came and went in the blink of an eye (remember World Lounge & Martini Bar in Hanover Square?)
