The removal of the US State Dept prohibition on the travel of US citizens to Lebanon will contribute to the rebirth of the American University of Beirut (AUB). Only US students and professors holding second nationalities were able to work and study at during the effectivity of the restriction. AUB has rebuilt its College Hall and hopes the removal of the restriction will help get donations from US sources and promote the restoration of the university's international atmosphere.
