From the April 4, 2009, PF (following the March 31 Prospective Plantings Report): "There are 3.5 million to 4 million acres still 'unaccounted for' in this [total] acreage mix. Some of those are 'swing acres' that will eventually move to either corn, soybeans, spring wheat, cotton ... or any of the crops. That's one reason we wouldn't be surprised if the corn and soybean acreage estimates delivered March 31 are the lowest planting tallies we will see this year."
