The proposed merger of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU,) whose Local 32B-32J provides the majority of workers for building owners, and Local 1199 of the National Health and Human Service Employees Union, probably won't affect the operations of the real estate industry, says James F. Berg, executive vice president of the Realty Advisory Board on Labor Relations (RAB).
