SHANG'OMBO residents in Western Province yesterday resisted Zesco's attempt to remove a power generator from the district and install it in Chavuma in North-Western province. Zesco has since instructed its engineers not to remove the generator from Shang'ombo.

Sinjembela Member of Parliament Mubika Mubika confirmed the development and said a Zesco truck carrying the equipment had been detained at Shang'ombo police station. He expressed disappointment with Zesco management for attempting to take away one of the two generators from the ...
