Egypt has successfully recovered from its economic travails which is due mainly to its radical economic reform policy. Statistics show that Egypt's economic growth is about 5% yearly and its budget is almost at a balanced level while inflation is under control. However, a greater challenge is posed by the demand for employment which will be realised only if GDP growth reaches 6.5% and domestic savings increase.

The last year has witnessed a dramatic upsurge of international interest in Egypt's economy, as ANDREW ALBUM reports.
