A small but avid group of downtown Ferndale merchants gathered at Anita's Kitchen on Nine Mile Road last week for a quick lesson in how to increase profit by streamlining.
The session, led by Ferndale-based consultant Ken Seawell of Seawell Business Solutions and followed by a quick tour through Oakland County resources from Lola Are, a senior business-development representative in the county's business center, prompted questions. Attendees wondered: How much should I spend on marketing? How much inventory should I keep on hand?
