The Connecticut attorney general's office is suing Anthem for control of the assets of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut.

Anthem, a big Indianapolis mutual, brought Connecticut Blue into its fold through a merger completed Aug. 1.

The state insurance department blessed the merger, but Special Attorney General Robert Shields Jr. objected recently in a complaint filed in state Superior Court in Hartford.

Connecticut Blue was a charity and held its assets in trust for the public, Mr. Shields argued in his complaint.
