The community of scholarship for early modern women's studies is in the early stages of construction and is being built similarly to connections historical women created. Since the early 1990s, researchers have been using anthologies, collaborative projects, and discussion groups to assemble a body of critical work. Early modern women formed extensive political, family, and religious circles through the court, country house and stage to invent fragmentary but extensive communities.
