INTRODUCTION

Polypropylene (PP) is one of the widely used commodity thermoplastics. However, it has limitations due to its chemically inert and hydrophobic nature (1). To upgrade its properties, it needs to be made more hydrophilic in nature by graft copolymerization. Glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) is a bifunctional monomer containing an unsaturated group together with a highly electrophilic epoxide moiety.
