RECENT PRICE INCREASES for sodium silicate's main raw material, soda ash, are leading the sole Canadian producer to seek a 3 percent price hike. Although US sodium silicate producers are experiencing the same soda ash increase, it appears they are taking a wait-and-see approach to the Canadian initiative.
