Armed with easels, maps, paints and passion for landscapes, 30 plein-air painters from Colorado, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico will descend on the Taos area, May 8-13 for their annual "paint-out."

"Each year the plein-air (French for "fresh air") painters tell me they love the landscapes, dining and culture so unique to Taos," says event organizer Leslie Allen, a founding member of Plein Air Artists Colorado.
