General Motors has appointed Dave Hill as head of the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird which have shown poor sales results. He has been designated as vehicle line executive and chief engineer of the two cars. Hill had shown excellent performance as team leader in the development of the fifth-generation Corvette by incorporating several enhancements while keeping development costs down.
