The works of Australian performance artist Stelarc exemplify Immanuel Kant's 'Critique of Judgment,' a 1790 publication, which has been used to pioneer a wider scope of unique artistic practices. Stelarc views the body as technologically arranged matter. Using prostheses to augment his body's natural abilities, Stelarc sees these attachments not as supplementary but integral to the body. This stretches Kant's 'Critique' into the realm of the 'unthinkable natural faculties.'
