Pharmaceutical contract packager Sharp Ivers-Lee has installed a new blister packaging line with a new vision inspecting machine system that provides 100% detection of capsules, tablets and other solid medication forms at a rate of 100 blisters per minute. The line replaces the equivalent of 21 sensors that would be needed to accomplish the same objective. As an example, the line inspects broken, incorrectly sized or missing capsules for the Ginsana dietary supplement drug.
