Fireworks greet new CNC Crown lathe.

"Born in the USA" was being belted out by "The Boss" and fireworks were exploding "inside" the demonstration room in the Okuma Technology Institute when the curtain was lifted on Okuma America's new CNC Crown lathe. The occasion in early June was Okuma's Manufacturing Exposition '97, which also marked the dedications of the 53,000-sq ft Okuma Technology Institute and the new 112,000 sq-ft Plant No 2 machining facility.
