MARS -- The U.S. "invasion" of the planet Mars, begun last summer, is still going strong. After two months on Mars, the Pathfinder spacecraft, along with Sojourner, the rolling robotic rock hunter, continue to beam data back to Earth. The mission has exceeded the wildest expectations of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) scientists, some of whom had figured that the two spacecraft might work for only a week on the hostile, rocky Martian surface.
