NEW YORK - With chain drug retailers still reaping profits from the popularity of topical analgesics with capsaicin, new products with the pepper plant derivative remain welcome additions to the category.

"Capsaicin may be hot to the touch, but it's definitely hot in our cash registers," says a category manager at one drug chain.
