Arawak Energy posts $28 mln in net losses for 2008
MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - Canada's Arawak Energy, which owns oil and gas assets in Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, posted $27.9 million in net losses for 2008 against net profit totaling $31.3 million in 2007, the company said in a statement.
Arawak said that these losses were incurred following the listing of the company's shares on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and a drop in the fair market value on assets in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan of $45.9 million.
