Killer goes to court in bid for presidential pardon.(News)

A jailed member of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging - whose application for a presidential pardon is among the 2 000 to be considered by President Kgalema Motlanthe - has filed a counter-court action in the Pretoria High Court against civil rights groups that have launched a bid to stop Motlanthe from granting the pardons.

Ryan Albutt was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment in 2007 for murder, assault and public violence.
