Black history heroine Sojourner Truth is being remembered in a special, grand way.

NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) selected the name "Sojourner" for its new robot recently used to kick off a historic exploration of the planet Mars. The Sojourner is the first mobile vehicle to roam and explore another planet.

Valerie Ambroise of Bridgeport, CT, was 12 years old when she came up with the name "Sojourner" in a worldwide essay contest. She won the contest a year later at age 13 and is now 15.
