Magnetic particle filtration for metalworking fluids.

The proper maintenance of machine tools used in the metalworking industry involves cleaning and filtering the coolant that they use. A technique for removing the metal chips and contaminants from coolants involves the use of magnetic particle filtration which has benefitted from advances in magnetic separation technology. Magnetic particle filtration can be achieved through the use of traps, conveyors, ceramic coolant cleaners, rare-earth coolant cleaners and magnetic cyclone filters.

Super-strong magnets are making this approach to keeping coolant clean a very attractive option.
