OAXACA, OAX.- Como en este país se hace lo que el presidente dice, los pintores de Oaxaca solicitaron su intervención para el rescate cultural y natural de Oaxaca.

El pintor Francisco Toledo resaltó que en México "si el señor de allá arriba dice 'háganse' (los proyectos), se hacen, si no, no".

Por tal situación, los pintores oaxaqueños entregaron al presidente Ernesto Zedillo una carta donde plantean serios problemas como:

--Invasión de la zona arqueológica de Monte Albán;

--contaminación del Río Papaloapan;
