The race

THE introduction of a second race for four-year-old hurdlers does not appear to have diluted the quality, with last year's winner Crack Away Jack finishing fourth in this season's Champion Hurdle.

This year's race has drawn a maximum field headed by Mr Thriller, who returns to his age group after finishing fourth in Saturday's Imperial Cup at Sandown.
