Architect Tadasu Ohe designed the Institute of Environmental Science of the Shiga Prefecture University in Shiga, Japan. The facility is home to a number of several academic departments belonging to fields ranging from biology to studio-based design. The facility was designed to nurture informal personal relationships and the spontaneous exchange of information between the faculty members.
