Using UK-based Zircotec's exhaust zirconia ceramic coating, a Honda Civic race car has been able to achieve 6th place in the Britcar 24 hour race: the team claimed that the coating permitted them to fill the car with an extra 16 l of fuel for every stop the vehicle made.
Team Manager for Honda Civic race car, Simon Mason, said: "In the past we have struggled to get more than 94 l of fuel into the car due to air locks in the warm fuel tank. This year we could fill it right up to our 110 l allowance."
