The International Space Station will be a "home away from home" for astronauts when it is completed in the year 2002. Up to 6 astronauts will spend 3 to 5 months sleeping, eating, exercising, and working 352 kilometers (220 miles) above the Earth. The total living and working space on the Space Station will be about the same size as inside of 2 jumbo jets.
