The late Peter Cain's work was seen but not well understood by many. Known as the 'car painter,' his paintings and drawings were strange, special and tended to divide people into sharply opposing camps. While his focus was on cars as a subject for most of his working life, Cain's works shortly before his death were completely different from any of his previous output, demonstrating that the painter had transcended to another level and had been having a growth spurt.
