Manganese sulfate imports increasing and production is slated to expand. In the wake of expansion follows consolidation and acquisition, promising to change the entire production landscape. Yet even with increasing imports from China and Mexico, and planned expansions domestically, the market may experience some upward pricing pressures because of the formation of a Chinese cartel and inflation in Mexico, which could squeeze margins for the local producer, according to industry observers.
