Pres. Clinton believes that US artists Edward Albee, Bennett Leslie Carter, Johnny Cash, Jack Lemmon and Maria Tallchie have helped transform the American art scene. Albee represents art's rebellious spirit, while Lemmon embodies the typical American sense of humor. Carter exerted great influence in jazz, whereas Cash extended the boundaries of country music. Finally, Tallchief is credited for introducing American ballet to the world.
