Note: This is in response to a reader's request for suggestions for "junk food" that can be made on the homestead.
Homestead "junk food"? What an oxymoron! Though my homestead is one block beyond the city limits and no farther from the local bus, growing as much of my own food as possible rescues me from junk food. I'm in the over-60 university program, going for a second master's, and without a car, so 60 by 160 feet is ample to care for.
