An examination of the violent death rates of children in 26 leading industrialized nations shows that the US has by far the highest rate of homicide, suicide, and firearms-related death of children. Of the total child homicides in these 26 nations, 73% happened to US children. Of the total suicides, 54% were by US children. Of the firearms-related deaths, 86% of these were of US children. US rates of these were all much higher than in the next highest nations.
