The relationship between Type A parents and their adolescent children was examined. Results showed that teenager children of Type A parents have higher Type A scores. In addition, differences in Type A parenting-teenager relationships were found to be influenced by the Type A dimension measured and the gender of the parent-adolescent dyad. Moreover, perceived family environment independently contributed to the development of Type A behavior pattern among teenagers.
