Breitenfeld Jr., 65, announced today his intention to step down as President of WHYY, Inc. and to retire at the end of 1997.
Breitenfeld, who since 1983 has been CEO of TV12 and 91FM, the prime public television and radio stations in the region, made his announcement at the March 11 meeting of WHYY's Board of Directors.
