The Arts and Crafts Movement started in the late 19th century to revivify and improve handcrafts which also include book designs. The movement was supported by the emergence of Kelmscott Press in 1891, American Arts and Crafts Books publishers in 1895 to 1910 and the Roycroft Printing Shop in 1894, which was one of the last printing clubs.
To some antiques collectors, the value of an Arts and Crafts book may depend a lot more on what it looks like than on what it says.
