THE front-runner to take over as England coach in the likely event of Peter Moores being dismissed said yesterday he would be 'very interested' in the job.

Graham Ford, Kent's South African coach, has emerged as the overwhelming favourite to become Moores' successor should talks between the incumbent and Kevin Pietersen tomorrow fail to resolve the rift between them. While the national team's managing director, Hugh Morris, will attempt to broker a truce, the captain is resolute in his desire for a change.
