The beetles are making headlines again, but this time without Ed Sullivans help.

The notorious Emerald Ash borer has everyones attention as its tree-choking army advances throughout northern Illinois. The Asian Long-horned Beetle has been making front-page news as it wreaks havoc on wooded neighborhoods in the Fox Valley and Chicago area.

Gardening journals and professional publications continually run articles about the ubiquitous and voracious Japanese beetle that devours both ornamental and wild native plants.

But a few bad apples or beetles ...
