Vinyl acetate is an important monomer that can generate polyvinyl alcohol, vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer, ethylene vinyl acetate resin, polyvinyl acetate and ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymers. Its polymers are mainly used as fibers, adhesives, coatings and emulsifiers and have extensive applications in several sectors--construction, automobile, packaging, textile and dyeing/printing.
