Data detailed in 'Prevalence of vertebral fractures in men with acromegaly' have been presented. "Data on osteoporotic fractures in acromegaly are limited. An increased prevalence of radiological vertebral fractures was already observed in postmenopausal women with active acromegaly," scientists writing in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism report (see also Acromegaly Risk Factors).
