Saturn Corp. is stepping up efforts to enhance production and become GM's third best performing subsidiary. Saturn plans to increase the capacity of its Spring Hill, TN, plant and open a new facility in Wilmington, DE, to boost production to 575,000 units a year. Saturn expects to surpass the volumes of GM's Oldsmobile, Buick and GMC Truck units and rival Pontiac which sold 599,123 vehicles during 1995.

Saturn Corp. is positioning itself to become No. 3 among General Motors' seven nameplates.
