The EEOC will monitor Texaco Inc's treatment of its minority employees under the terms of the settlement of the oil company's anti-discrimination suit. The settlement includes $115 million in cash and $26.1 million in pay raises for black employees and $35 million for sensitivity and diversity training.

Federal regulators will have power to monitor Texaco's treatment of Blacks under a new agreement that gives the federal agency, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), a role in the oil company's anti-discrimination settlement.
