LA HABANA.- Cuba tendrá un santo; se llamará San Félix Varela, y lo será de todas las devociones: de la Iglesia católica en Cuba, del Vaticano y del gobierno de Fidel Castro.

El pasado 25 de febrero, en la catedral de La Habana se instaló el tribunal para la beatificación de Félix Varela y Morales, uno de los más importantes próceres de la independencia de Cuba, reconocido como tal por el Partido Comunista Cubano.
