CHESTER--Jan. 25--Chris Plat , a York County economic development specialist, Friday was named economic development director for Chester County.

"He comes highly recommended by his boss," said Chester County Supervisor Carlisle Roddey.

Plat , 25, who has served for 18 months as York County's coordinator for existing industry, will work with a $150,000 annual budget and draw a salary of $34,000 a year.

He will move into a new office across the street from the Chester County courthouse and answer directly to York County Council.
