FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. William "Bill" J. Gregg Jr., 60, a resident of Dollar Bay, died Saturday, December 6, 2008 in an accidental fall at the Quincy Mine Hoist No. 2 Shaft, in Quincy Township; he was installing steel ladders in the shaft to provide an emergency exit from the mine. Bill was born in Troy, N.Y. on October 14, 1948, the son of the late William Joseph Gregg Sr. and Elizabeth Maria Elena (Gagliardi) Gregg.
