Analysts are criticizing the World Bank's Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (Miga) for failing to provide adequate support for Africa. The Miga was created to insure foreign investors against risks such as expropriation and war in developing and transitional countries. However, recent statistics show that only 1% of Miga's $34 million portfolio was used to insure investments in Africa.
