The finance ministers of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda met with members of the business community in London to discuss plans for the East African Co-operation (EAC). The three members of the EAC proposed the creation of a regional market to promote economic growth. However, the sources of funding for the plan remained unknown while doubts were raised about the commitment of the three countries to regional cooperation.
