Pres. Bill Clinton passed Executive Order (EO) 13021 which aims to provide educational assistance to American Indians and Alaskan Natives. EO 13021 defines Tribal Colleges and Universities based on the educational institutions that were cited under Section 532 of the Equity in Education Land-Grant Status Act of 1994. The President's Board of Advisors on Tribal Colleges and Universities was also established under Section 2 of EO 13021.
