Pres. Bill Clinton expressed his support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon prior to his meeting with Lebanon's Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri. Clinton also said that the US is doing its best to assist in the economic recovery of Lebanon and establish peace in the Middle East. The President also indicated that all foreign political cash contributions are being evaluated and Lebanon's request for military hardware will be discussed in the meeting.
