Voles.(Pest spotlight)

Voles are small rodents to which pest management professionals (PMPs) and their clients may refer colloquially as meadow mice and field mice. The two species most encountered by PMPs and their clients are the meadow vole, Microtus pennsylvanicus, and the pine vole, M. pinetorum. The meadow vole (pictured) is mostly dark grayish-brown with a slightly lighter colored belly. The pine vole is rusty-gray and is slightly smaller than the meadow vole.
