Hyalophane specimens from Zagradski Potok near Busovaca, Bosnia and Hercegovina, are huge, lustrous and complexly twinned, giving them a gem-like quality. The west limb of the Busovaca fault zone, formed during Miocene, saw the crystallization of quartz and, later on, hyalophane veins within sericite-phyllite schists as a result of hydrothermal processes.
